„We simply live on a blue sphere in endless space.
Light is given to us by a star that we orbit and call the sun. At night, million of these suns twinkle in the sky and we call them stars.
Planets invisible to us orbit around these stars. Planets, just like our earth."
About me
I am ASMA (31 years old) and work as a freelance artist in Stuttgart. Having grown up in Munich, my path led me to the "Kessel" (that's what the people of Stuttgart call their city). The reason for this was my master's degree in environmental engineering. I have stayed here and found my artistic home.
Artist statement
Every time I look up at the sky, I usually think the same thing: ‘We simply live on a blue sphere in endless space. Light is given to us by a star that we orbit and call the sun. At night, millions of these suns twinkle in the sky and we call them stars. Planets invisible to us orbit these stars. Planets just like our Earth.’
With my art, I embark on a journey of being. I am fascinated by human consciousness, especially the fine line between dream and reality. My works are a mirror of my soul; they develop and change with me. One of our greatest freedoms is how we react to the things around us. Our words shape our thoughts, which in turn influence our perception. We can recreate ourselves every day, or we can destroy ourselves. I cordially invite you to embark on an odyssey through colours and shapes and discover your own personal journey to yourself.
I find my inspiration in nature and in the subtle moments of everyday life. Influenced by the manga style, I create works of art using acrylic paints, with lots of texture and movement. This allows me to create images that are both powerful and meditative. My art invites you to dive into infinity. Space, time – it doesn't matter, the main thing is to be free and feel. In my works, I also address social issues that concern me. In doing so, I want to encourage dialogue and a change of perspective. For me, art is a balance to everyday life and a means of making complex issues visible, but above all, it is freedom.
